Infogroup Moves Its Papillion, NE Data Operation and Tele-Research Center to a Virtual Workplace over the Weekend

Company had prepped for remote work; closed all North American offices before government-mandated closures

DALLAS — March 18, 2020 — Having moved all of its teams, including its Papillion, NE-based data operations and compilation team, to a virtual workplace over the weekend, Infogroup continues to serve its clients fully, the company announced today.

Committed to the well-being of its employees and to providing uninterrupted service to its clients and partners, Infogroup had been preparing for two weeks for the potential closure of its North America offices including its Papillion, NE data factory. An employee’s COVID-19 diagnosis confirmed on Saturday, March 14 triggered the immediate shutdown of all of Infogroup’s North America offices. By Monday morning, over 95% of all of Infogroup’s 1,500+ employees were up and running on a fully functional virtual work environment. The small number of employees who do not yet have the capability to work remotely will continue to be paid.

“Our top priorities are the health and safety of our employees and their families as well as the commitment we made to our clients and partners,” said Michael Iaccarino, Chairman and CEO of Infogroup. “While we’ve long encouraged working remotely, providing this capability to all of our staff required an enormous amount of effort. The teams that worked tirelessly to make this happen over the weekend are a testament to the tenacity of our employees and as a result of their dedication, our data operation and compilation teams are fully functional and we continue to serve our customers at full capacity.”

“I appreciate any company that has the conscience and fortitude to put the health and welfare of their employees first, and I fully understand the precautionary decisions made by Infogroup,” said Michael G Schwartz, President of MGS Graphics and a customer of Infogroup’s InfoUSA product. “Regardless of today’s challenging circumstances, I am receiving uninterrupted service during this transition, as I continue to do the same business remotely with my sales representative and in the same timely manner I am accustomed to. A+ to Infogroup.”

“With more than 95% of our 1,500+ employees working from home, we are using just 40% of our capacity,” said Infogroup Chief Technology Officer Jonathan Quint. “Network utilization for our applications is only 10% of peak capacity. We’ve been able to establish healthy social distancing with ease, and with no loss in performance.”
