Marriott Bonvoy Boutiques helps members and guests bring vacation home with them by curating products across the Marriott portfolio of hotel brands. During the pandemic, they decided to offer a sweepstakes titled “Dreaming of Brighter Days” to offer travelers a taste of what they have been missing and what they have to look forward to.
The campaign was designed to drive engagement, keep communications open, and bring a bit of comfort to customers as they were spending less time traveling and more time at home. From perfect pillows to luxurious bedding and everything needed for an in-home spa retreat, Marriott Bonvoy treated subscribers with inspiring ideas to bring comfort home.
The email campaign met engagement goals, driving a 14.80% open rate and 1.90% click-through rate. In addition, it generated an outstanding open rate of 46.90% and a click-through rate of 3.50% among Marriott Bonvoy subscribers that had previously opened boutique-related communications in the past. The “Dreaming of Brighter Days” campaign helped contribute to a 50% increase in sales month-over-month for the Marriott Bonvoy Boutique shop.
